Rules and regulations

Flowers, Planting, Placement

  • All flowers must be placed in a vase, it is prohibited to block walkways.
  • Planting of trees, shrubs, flowers, grasses, etc., shall be done by cemetery personnel only.
  • No balloons, pinwheels, or objects other than flowers are allowed on graves and headstones.
  • No animal sacrifices to be performed.
  • All headstones, markers, and benches must be approved by Quiet Haven Memorial Park Cemetery administration.
  • Anything made out of glass or fragile material is prohibited.

Conditions

  • General removal of flowers will be done by employees of Quiet Haven Memorial Park Cemetery
  • Removal of any flowers from any grave other than your own family or friend, is strictly forbidden.
    The QHMPC personnel will determine the condition of artificial flowers and remove them when necessary.
  • Quiet Haven Memorial Park Cemetery will not be responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items placed or left on graves.
  • Cemetery hours will be generally from 8:00 AM to sunset.
    Winter time (November-March) 8AM-5PM
    Summer time (April-October) 8AM-7PM

Gravestone Regulations

  • Single gravestone can be no wider than 36 inches including any base or concrete and no higher than 36 inches including the base, and the depth can be no more than 24 inches. Material can only be of granite, marble, or bronze. 
  • Companion markers can be no wider than 60 inches including any base or concrete and no higher than 40 inches including the base, and the depth can be no more than 24 inches. Material can only be of granite, marble, or bronze.
  • Grave ledgers are not allowed to be installed. 
  • If headstone height exceeds set standards, there will be an additional fee of $25.00 for each extra inch. 
  • Maximum height allowed for a single grave stone is 72 inches including any base. 
  • All headstones, benches or markers, must be approved by Quiet Haven Memorial Park Cemetery administration.
  • Quiet Haven Cemetery is not liable for refusing any monuments, benches or markers that are fabricated without written approval.
